Momentum, Milestones & Big Variety πŸ†πŸ

March was a huge month in the 2025 season β€” busy, varied, and full of moments that really showed how things are coming together. Four events, four different challenges, multiple classes, different engines, and a mix of wins, podiums, and hard-earned learning.

This was the kind of month that builds confidence and experience in equal measure.

1 March – NATSKA Round, Fulbeck

Honda 160 | Overall Win

March kicked off in the best possible way with a NATSKA race day at Fulbeck, racing in Honda 160. (Class 4)

Conditions were tricky, with grip levels changing throughout the day β€” the kind of conditions where you have to stay adaptable and keep things tidy. From the first race, the pace was strong, and as the day went on, everything just fell into place.

πŸ‘‰ Won all 4 races
πŸ‘‰ Overall race day win
πŸ‘‰ Third NATSKA race day win of the season (it runs over an academic year)

It was a proper all-round performance β€” managing the conditions, staying consistent, and making the right decisions when it mattered. Days like this don’t come around often, and they’re hugely satisfying when they do.

2 March – Forest Edge

First Visit, Straight on the Pace

The very next day brought a completely different challenge at Forest Edge (with the Honda 200) β€” a track he’d never driven before, with an engine he’d only raced on once before, against drivers who had driven there for years!

Turning up somewhere new is always about learning fast, and despite that, the speed came quickly. In the first heat, Harvey set the second-fastest lap time, which was a great confidence boost straight away. It’s a real boost showing the time away from the track on the racing sim is really worthwhile!

That pace carried through the heats, lining up P3 for the final. Unfortunately, after contact during the race start, I dropped back and crossed the line P5.

Not the result the pace deserved, but still a strong debut at a new circuit and plenty taken away from the weekend.

15 March – Club100, Whilton Mill

First Club100 Race | Rotax Power

Mid-month brought another big step: my first-ever Club100 series race at Whilton Mill.

This was a completely different setup β€” running a Rotax two-stroke engine, compared to the Honda four-strokes Harvey usually races. Different power delivery, different driving style, and another learning curve to deal with.

Conditions were much drier than the Academy day back in February, which made for faster, more committed racing.

Despite it being Harvey’s first Club100 event, things went really well:

  • Qualified in the top half of the grid on debut
  • Set the fastest lap in the Pre-B Final
  • Fastest driver in the B Final, narrowly missing out on the podium
  • Finished as one of the top 10 fastest drivers out of 60 on the grid

For a first outing in a new series, driving a different style of kart, that was a really positive result and a great confidence boost moving forward.

22 March – Camberley

First Podium at the Track πŸ₯ˆ

March wrapped up back at Camberley, and it turned into another milestone moment β€” a first podium finish at the circuit.

Across the heats:

  • Won one heat
  • Second in the other two
  • 2nd overall for the day

In the final, Harvey led for over half the race, but just narrowly missed out on the top step, crossing the line P2.

A special detail from the weekend β€” Harvey was racing in my new Minus 273 gloves, a birthday present after turning another year older on 21 March. Not a bad way to break them in.

March in Perspective

March delivered a bit of everything:

  • Wins and confidence-building results
  • First-time experiences at new tracks and in new series
  • Learning moments that don’t always show on the results sheet
  • And some big personal milestones along the way

Four race weekends, four different stories β€” all feeding into the bigger picture of the 2025 season.

Next up, April… and things don’t slow down.
