Close Racing, Big Progress & Plenty of Miles 🏁
June was one of those months where the results only tell part of the story. Across four very different race weekends, there was close racing, big learning moments, strong podiums, and clear progress across multiple championships and formats.
Busy, competitive, and properly enjoyable.
Early June – Forest Edge
Close Racing & Another Step Forward
The first Sunday of the month meant another trip to Forest Edge, and once again, the racing didn’t disappoint.
After a strong set of heats, I lined up on pole for the final. A lightning start from Oliver Spence meant I dropped to P2 through the opening corners, and from there we worked together to pull a big gap on the rest of the field.
Once the gap was secure, it turned into a proper race.
With two laps to go, I managed to take the lead, but on the final corner, I got bumped wide and lost out at the line. By the time we were through scrutineering, there wasn’t enough time to appeal, so the result stood.

Even so, it was still a step forward — P2, an upgrade on the P3 from the previous visit, and a second podium from three races at Forest Edge. Beating a lot of drivers who’ve raced there for years showed just how much progress is being made.
Mid-June – NATSKA Double Header, Llandow
Tight Battles & A Weekend Split
Next up was another NATSKA double-header, this time at the Llandow Circuit; another new circuit for me, in Wales.
It was a really competitive weekend, with some brilliantly tight racing, especially between me and Oscar, who’d recently raced the circuit in the Daniel Ricciardo Series. Every session was close, and there was nothing between us for most of the weekend.
The results reflected that:
- Saturday: 2nd place
- Sunday: 1st place
A win and a second across the weekend was a strong return and kept the championship momentum rolling.
Off track, it was another step forward too — first time using the new awning on the van, and the first time the electrics were fully set up and working, which made a big difference over a busy race weekend.

Club100 – Rissington
Big Climb & Rookie Result
June also included another Club100 round, this time at Rissington — and it turned into one of the standout drives of the month.
After qualifying P3 for the Pre-B Final, I finished P2, which earned promotion into the Pre-A Final. Starting at the back, I drove from 20th to 11th, gaining nine positions in one race.
The progress didn’t stop there.
In the final, I gained another five places, finishing 6th overall:
- 6th out of 60 Cadets
- Highest-placed Club100 Rookie & Rookie of the day!
- And only my second race in the Club100 (Rotax) series
A massive confidence boost and a clear sign that things are heading in the right direction in a very competitive field and that Harvey can adapt to different karts and driving styles quickly.
On the way home, we stopped at The Farmer’s Dog — which made Mum very jealous. Can absolutely recommend the ice cream 🍦.

Late June – Camberley
GX200 | Margins Measured in Tenths
The fourth Saturday of the month meant it was back to Camberley, this time racing in Honda GX200.
It was a very strong grid, with some excellent drives from other competitors, and the racing was incredibly tight all day.
Across the heats:
- P3
- P3
- P4
All three heats were decided by just a few tenths of a second.
The final was no different. Another close, clean race ended with P3 overall, just four tenths of a second off the next position — proof of how competitive the field was.
Between heats, we also found time for some important business… trying to flip a bottle onto the back bumper.
Watch the video and let me know — does it count? 😄
June in Perspective
June delivered a bit of everything:
- Close racing decided by tiny margins
- Podiums and wins across different championships
- Big recovery drives and standout performances
- Continued progress in Club100
- And plenty of memories made along the way
The pace is there, the confidence is growing, and the experience is stacking up fast.
